Meet Emma of The Global Fork

We met Emma on our new Instagram, UBMeFood. She is passionate about food and traveling and shares the most incredible eats on the daily! After talking to her, we realized that she too had ties to Bethlehem, PA, which is where our company originated. It was a foodie match made in heaven! Here’s what this amazing food-lover had to share!

The Shaping of Emma’s Passion for Food & Food Blogging

“Growing up my whole life in the outskirts of Philadelphia, I’ve always been appreciative of all of the charming small towns and what they have to offer. Each little town has its own personality and they all hold special memories that I’ve grown up with. As I am entering another big chapter in my life, I will be moving down to the Miami area, having to say goodbye to some of my favorite places and restaurants for some time. However, I am very excited to move to an area that is so incredibly diverse that allows me to immerse myself in different cultures and explore a global palette of food.

Ever since I was five-years-old, I have always loved seeing how food brings people together, no matter where you’re from. Some of the most unforgettable memories are made when sitting around a table. Food allows you to explore different cultures and what the world has to offer.

A Taste of @TheGlobalFork Instagram

Just shy of three years ago I began TheGlobalFork, but unfortunately decided to shut it down when COVID hit. Now, just a little less than a month ago, I brought the account back as I am in preparation of moving down to the Miami area, where I will be basing a lot of my content out of. I am using my food blog as a platform to hands-on learn about ins-and-outs of the social media marketing world in hopes of being able to connect and interact with people from all across the globe, share experiences and create a global community of people who love food! My goal is to be able to have a page that inspires people to travel, try new places, and support local businesses. I would also love to use this public platform as an educational account, sharing ways on how to eat and travel sustainably as well as to provide tips on nourishing the mind, body, and spirit.”

The Global Fork Favorites

“If I could turn back time and revisit a place, I would love to return to Geneva, Switzerland and eat at Brasserie du Bourg-de-Four. My family stumbled upon this restaurant not knowing that we would be leaving with some unforgettable memories. The night we were there, a band was playing live music and we ended up growing a beautiful connection with them. We managed to spend the entire night at the restaurant listening to beautiful music, eating plates of rosti (a must-have food when you go Switzerland), and creating memories. By the end of the night, my sister and I were singing and playing the ukulele for the band. In those moments, the world feels so peaceful and truly emphasizes the beauty of life.

* Unfortunately I did not take photos that night, but feel free to check out their website. ($$)

A more local destination that has always been a summertime favorite is Steve & Cookie’s By The Bay in Margate City, NJ. If you ever decide to go, I highly recommend the famous ugly tomato salad and blueberry pie (available in the summer). I will warn you though, the blueberry pie sells out pretty quick. But, if you’re lucky, you can order blueberry pies at their coffee shop/ bakery No. 7311 in Ventnor. Beyond the mouthwatering seasonal specials, they have the best lobster mac and cheese I have ever had. If you’re a big wine drinker, this place is for you! Steve & Cookies offers an enormous selection of wines with price tags reaching up towards the thousands! The owner, Cookie, often walks around and greets her guests, always creating a very welcoming environment. Fortunately, they’re open all-year round so even if you miss the summer menu, it is still a great place to dine and drink! ($$$)

One of the final destinations I recommend visiting is Beauty & Essex in NYC. Not only will you have insanely delicious food, but you will also have a very unique and truly memorable dining experience. You will fall in love with the ambiance and the surprises this place has to offer. You can’t dine there without getting a plate (or 3) of their grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings topped with smoked bacon. You can find a photo of them posted on my Instagram. I highly recommend coming here for both dinner and brunch, both providing two different, yet indulging experiences.” ($$$)

Emma’s Traveling Bucket List Revealed

“Honestly, the list is so long. I love immersing myself into different cultures and experiencing the beauty that blossoms from different communities from around the globe. Currently, I would love to travel to Bali, Thailand, and return to Europe to travel to as many countries as I can.

I will be crossing off one of my bucket list destinations at the end of July – early August, so stay tuned for the location reveal :)”

We’ll be keeping up with Emma and her food travels, so be on the lookout for some more guest-blogs coming soon!

Your Travels are Truly Enhanced by the Food You Enjoy

Emma can totally back us up when we say that travels are enhanced by food! Whether you’re dining in or picking up an amazing meal to eat at home, food speaks to us. Every restaurant has a little something to them that makes them unique, and makes their customers keep coming back for more. When you think about vacations you take, meals you enjoy on that vacation stick with you. The lasting impact food has on us really is incredible and deserves to be celebrated!

We are so lucky to work with many amazing restaurants that are located all across the United States. We talked to a few of them this week and are excited to share them with you, so you can plan some great meals on your next road-trip!

C & H Hawaiian Grill, TX

Having multiple Texas locations, C & H Hawaiian Grill gifts you with the best of island cuisine! Their beef and pulled pork dishes are always huge hits, along with island favorites! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, as it all really is incredible. Not only is their food delicious, but you really get the sense that you’re enjoying premium and authentic Hawaiian dishes.

C & H Hawaiian Grill, Located in both Austin and Killeen, Texas

We got some inside information from Hensan, the C & H Hawaiian Grill owner, on their top online-ordered dish – their Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken! We aren’t surprised because this beautiful, golden dish is always done to perfection!

If you’re wondering what Hensan loves, he can’t get enough of their chicken! Now you know exactly what you must order next time you’re in Texas!

C & H Hawaiian Grill’s #1 Online Ordering Best Seller, the Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken

That’s not it though. While talking with Hensan, we were absolutely thrilled to hear that C & H Hawaiian Grill will be expanding – that’s right, they’re opening more locations! We cannot wait to see their incredible Hawaiian cuisine take on the rest of the United States!

Caffe dell’Amore, FL

If you’re looking for a treat for your senses, Cafe dell’Amore is the place to be. Not only is their food beyond delicious, but it is aesthetically beautiful! We spoke to one of the owners, Dominic, and asked him what his all-time favorite restaurant dish is. We happened to agree with him that the baked ziti and meatball takes the cake!

We were excited to catch up with Dominic for a bit and were thrilled to find out that they’re getting ready to add even more incredible dishes to their menu. At Caffe dell’Amore, they really wanted to bring a new level of health to their food, and are doing so with the addition of zucchini noodles – or as they like to say, Zucchetti!

Dominic actually gave us a sneak-peak of the menu and said that we could share one new item – are you ready!? Zucchetti e Prutti di Mare! This exquisite dish will feature either shrimp, scallops, snapper or haddock over their new zucchini noodles (Zucchetti) with a simple but delicious sauce sprinkled with Italian cheese – can you say yum? I personally cannot wait to get down to Florida and try it!
